“Every great design begins with an even better story.”
Lorinda Mamo, designer
My story starts here…

GRA 205 Fundamentals of Design
Learning the principles of design was necessary to understand basic design concepts. This course helped me understand the importance of balanced and cohesive design. For this artifact I created a poster for a local coffee shop opening soon.
GRA 350 Layout and Publication Design
This is the front cover of a magazine created for a fictitious museum. The magazine was created to highlight a new exhibit that was on display. In this course I used grids in Adobe InDesign to create structured and cohesive designs.

GRA 360 Designing A Brand Identity
This is the front cover of a brand identity guideline for a fictitious social media company called Blaze. In this course I learned the importance of creating consistent brand materials.
GRA 280 Design Thinking
This course further challenged my design decisions and understanding of good design. This subway banner advertisement was created to attract the attention of young professionals looking for a unique dining experience.

GRA 340 Typography
Utilizing two main fonts I created a book cover for a fan fiction novel. This course helped me develop a better understanding of typography.
GRA 330 Designing With Data
Infographics are often used to help us more easily understand data. In this course I was able to take complicated data and represent it in a form that was easier for users to process.

GRA 470 User Interface and User Experience Design
Understanding the importance of creating an intuitive user experience through a well thought out user interface is the basis of this course. Creating a landing page for a fictitious financial company helped me understand UX and UI principles.
GRA 415 Multi-channel Advertisement Design
This poster was one artifact of several that I created for a multi channel advertisement design. This course strengthened my knowledge of design across multiple platforms.
